Ann Sullivan grew up in San Jose, CA, and was raised in a large Irish Catholic family.  Her childhood Christian formation was in a local vibrant Catholic Church and Christian schools for Kindergarten-12th grade. After college she served as a youth pastor for two years.  She studied Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University and was licensed as an LMFT in 1990.  Ann had a private practice for fifteen years in San Jose, helping couples, families, and individuals heal relationships and grow spiritually. Her areas of specialty are addictions of all kinds, codependency, couples counseling, grief counseling, and issues related to adoptions.

When she discerned a clear call to ordained ministry, she transferred to the Episcopal Church.  She had 7 years of formation at St. Bede's Episcopal Church in Menlo Park and 4 years of formation at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Mountain View, where she was active as a liturgical minister, preacher, and teacher, developing leaders for covenant groups and ministry.  She received an M. Div. from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 1997 and was ordained in 1999.  Ann served as assistant to the Rector for seven years at St. Edward's Episcopal Church in San Jose from 1999 to 2006.

After a two year long discernment process among all parishioners, Ann was called to be the Rector of St. Nicholas' Church in May of 2006.

Ann has a passion for healing and for gathering people together to know Jesus in practical everyday life. She was specifically hired at St. Nicholas' to bring them through the dynamic process of change in an effort to create methods of worship and ministries to meet the needs of an unchurched culture.

Ann has a passion and calling to meet the needs of those who are often overlooked; the least, the last, and the lost.

She would like to meet you and welcome you to our church family!

She has created a 101 Welcome class that helps people come together to know each other and become easily oriented to our church.

Come and join us!

Youth Minister

Kim Guerra

Kim grew up in a warm and vibrant church and always loved Sunday school!  She began teaching Sunday school when she was 18 years old in Santa Cruz, and has never stopped.

For six years, she was the full-time Director of Children’s Ministry at First Covenant Church in San Francisco mission district.  She organized and directed large VBS vacation bible school events with 250 children and 80 volunteers.

Kim has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simpson College in Redding, Ca and an MBA from Patton University in Oakland, CA.

St. Nicholas Children’s Sunday School meets every Sunday.  All children and youth are invited to begin in the church for music and a Children’s Sermon.  Ages 4 to 12 are invited to join Kim to go back to the “Red Building” for Sunday school.  Kim has an assistant every week to help.  Nursery care is provided for ages 0 to 3.

The children’s Sunday school teaches to all five senses.  The classes are very interactive with games, crafts, activities.  Each week a different bible story, bible character and bible principle is taught and brought alive!

Puppet ministry with music, dance and worship takes place on the first Sunday of the month.  Ages 13 to 18 help with the puppet ministry and then go to the youth room with a youth teacher.

My name is Lorraine Hambleton and I came to the Loaves and Fishes Program in 2008.  A friend suggested our Stirling City Church come and serve a meal one Saturday a month.

I realized immediately that this program was special!  I enjoyed being part of something God has called us to do which is to feed and take care of His sheep.

Blessing and serving the people of our community physically and spiritually is my,passion as well as sharing The Word of God!!!

My desire is to show people by my own actions and example how to live out God’s Word by Faith and obedience to it, loving one another as Christ has loved us!!!

Lorraine has a beautiful way of gathering up “workers for the harvest”.  She gathers children, youth and adults of all ages and stages to serve and bless the people.  All are welcome!
